In 1983, Dustin Tillman's family-his parents and his aunt and uncle-were murdered in a shocking massacre. His foster brother, Rusty, was convicted of the crime, in a trial that was steeped in the oSatanic Culto paranoia of the 1980s.Thirty years later, Rusty's conviction is overturned, and suddenly Dustin, now a psychologist, must question whether his testimony that imprisoned his brother was accurate. DAN CHAON is the acclaimed author of Stay Awake, Await Your Reply, You Remind Me of Me, Fitting Ends and Among the Missing, which was a finalist for the National Book Award. Chaon's short stories have appeared in many journals and anthologies, including The Best American Short Stories, Pushcart Prize and The O. Henry Prize Stories. He was the recipient of the 2006 Academy Award in Literature from the American Academy of Arts and Letters. Chaon teaches creative writing at Oberlin College.
