This A2 colour poster of the Native Bees of Tasmania serves as a handy resource for nature lovers young and old, gardeners and bee enthusiasts as well an artwork worthy of framing.
Printed by Jennings Print Group on beautiful thick 250gsm matt stock, the poster measures 594mm x 420mm. It features 26 watercolour and digital bees (24 natives plus the introduced European Honeybee and Large Earth Bumblebee), accompanied by their common names, scientific names and silhouettes indicating actual size – a helpful tool in identification.
The artist consulted entomologists Dr Michael Batley, from the Australian Museum, Lynne Forster, Dr Peter McQuillan and Adelina Latinovic from the University of Tasmania on this project.
