A Tasmanian authored, illustrated and printed book of rhymes, featuring Tasmanian animals, their palawa kani names, and a counting game. Hidden in the verses are well researched facts about each creature's character and habits, presented in a fun and memorable way. The richly textured illustrations make us appreciate the natural beauty and diversity of Tasmania, our heart-shaped island. The book was conceived as a project to encourage Tasmanians to read aloud every day to their new babies and children.
